1．［问］ Jim：I’m sorry I’m late. Rose：________________.
A.All right B.It’s quite all right
C.Quite right D.Not at all
答案是B，我觉得D也对，是吗？
［答］该题B、D都对。这里牵涉到道歉的用语。一般情况下，既然对方道歉，我们就不要计较了，可以客气地回答：①That’s OK.②That’s all right.③Never mind.④It doesn’t matter.⑤It’s (quite)all right.⑥It’s nothing.⑦Not at all. 这些答语都表示“没关系、不要紧、没什么”的意思。
课本第一册就有这样的句子：
—I’m not Lucy，I’m Lily. She’s Lucy！
—Sorry!You look the same.
—That’s OK.
2.［问］ Over 80 percent of the population of China________________peasants.

我选了A，老师说是B，对吗？
［答］说得对，答案应为B。当population为人口总称时，不可数；但部分人口作主语时，谓语动词用复数。如：
The population of the earth is increasing very fast.
地球上的人口在急剧增加。
One third of the population of this country are farmers.这个国家1/3的人口是农民。

答案是C，我对此不理解。
［答］C答案完全正确。hate作“不愿意”、“不喜欢”讲时，后跟不定式，表示暂时的事件或特定的、具体的某项行动；接动名词则表示经常的、泛指的行为。该句中hate就属于后一种用法，其他项则与句义不符。如：
Some people hate working in the early morning.
有些人不爱在清晨工作。

我认为答案是D，而所给答案为B，any后不是应该跟复数形式的名词吗？
［答］B答案正确。一般说来，much只修饰不可数名词，而child为可数名词。any作形容词，意为“任何的”，作定语时可修饰名词的单数和复数形式，也可修饰不可数名词。如：
Any child can do it.任何一个孩子都会那样做的。
Are there any boats in the river?河里有一些船吗？
还要注意any一般用于指三者以上的人或物，不能指两个人或物之间的一个。

我认为是A，不知对否？
［答］你的判断完全正确。be interested in是一固定的动词短语，意为“对……感兴趣”，其中的in不可用其他的介词来代替。如：
Are you interested in physics?你对物理感兴趣吗？

答案是C，但B为什么不可以呢？
［答］C答案正确，这是我们常听到的表达法。句中English意为“英语中的对应词语”、“英语译名”。如：
What is the English for“衬衫”？ “衬衫”的英语单词是什么？
注意区别：—What’s this in English?这个用英语怎么说？
—It’s a Japanese car.是一辆日本小汽车。
7.［问］ We must study English hard，______________?
A.mustn’t we?B.needn’t we

答案是B，可以选A吗？
［答］A、B答案均正确。英语中，当陈述句的must表示“必须”时，反意疑问部分可用needn’t 或mustn’t。如：
You must do your homework， mustn’t/needn’t you?
We mustn’t go home， must/need we?
但当must表示推测含义“一定”时，应按must之后的动词形式和时态进行反问。如：
Your father must be nearly eighty now， isn’t he?
He must have missed the train yesterday， didn’t he?
You must have been to the Great wall， haven’t you?

Tom:It’s me. I don’t ask any questions in class.
Jack：Well，who is the worst?
Tom：It’s our teacher.He always asks us many questions，and he knows nothing.
The Pen
Tom:Mary，give me your pen，please.
Mary：Why don’t you write with your own pen?
Tom:Because it always makes so many mistakes.
